Project Overview
This framework takes Indonesia's current national early childhood education curriculum framework as its direct point of alignment. Bringing together the Music Tree Knowledge System and the IEDP approach to teacher development, it supports PAUD settings in using their centre-level curriculum—Kurikulum Satuan Pendidikan (KSP)—and meaningful play (bermain bermakna) to translate curriculum aspirations into classroom mechanisms that can be implemented, observed and reflected upon.
It focuses on whether teachers create authentic opportunities for exploration, expression and appreciation; how children participate in learning through sound, movement, language, materials, relationships and imagination; and whether teachers can use observational evidence to adjust the support they provide next. Guided by Music Tree's implementation principle, "Global Wisdom, Local Roots", the framework respects the autonomy of Indonesia's diverse regions and communities to make contextual judgements concerning language, music, materials, religion and cultural meaning.
