Deepening China-ASEAN Vocational Education Cooperation: "Music Tree Methodology" Enters Vietnam

On March 23, 2026, at the sincere invitation of the National College for Education, Vietnam, Mr. Tian Yong, Director of the Music Tree Methodology (China-ASEAN) Research Center, visited Vietnam. The exchange adopted a hybrid model combining "offline visit and online video." Leaders and relevant department heads from Guangxi College for Preschool Education participated via video conference, jointly witnessing a new chapter in China-Vietnam preschool education cooperation.

Jointly Discussing Research Cooperation and Embarking on a New Journey as "Sister Schools"

During the meeting, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on research cooperation in the field of preschool education and early childhood music education. Attendees included Hou Xuanjie, Principal of Guangxi College for Preschool Education; Vice Principals Xie Liuqing and Liu Yijian; Tran Dinh Tuan, Principal of the National College for Education, Vietnam; Nguyen Thi Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee; Vice Principals Trinh Thi Tam and Nguyen Thi Hong Van; as well as heads of relevant functional departments and secondary schools from both institutions. The two sides reached a positive consensus on establishing an "inter-institutional alliance" model and forging "sister school" relations. This initiative aims to further enhance the internationalization of educational operations on both sides, promoting regional improvements in preschool education quality through resource sharing and complementary advantages.

"Music Tree" Enters Vietnam, Promoting Localization of the Methodology

As a core topic of this visit, the promotion and implementation of the "Music Tree Methodology" in Vietnam received significant attention. Tian Yong, the founder of the Music Tree Methodology, provided a detailed introduction to the Vietnamese side regarding the Methodology's philosophy of "centering on sensory experience to promote holistic education" and demonstrated relevant teaching and research achievements. Both sides explicitly agreed to jointly advance the implementation of this project in Vietnam, exploring new pathways for early childhood music education that align with Vietnamese local characteristics through expert exchanges and teacher training.
